Debbie Segal, Attorney-At-Law
Originally from Long Island, Debbie attended Cornell University and came to Atlanta, GA, to attend Emory Law School. After graduating in 1979, she pursued a career in Public Interest practice. Her first role was with Atlanta Legal Aid. She served as Executive Director of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and ultimately became Pro Bono Partner with the law firm of Kilpatrick Townsend. During her career, she supported Public Interest and the legal needs of women through a number of organizations, including leadership roles with the ABA.
Although officially retired, she continues to represent victims of domestic violence. She continues to teach Public Interest Practice at Emory and is active with the Emory Public Interest Committee. Debbie is married to Randy Cadenhead, a fellow lawyer. They live in Decatur, Georgia, and enjoy traveling and teaching together.
